Howard Rajala (Ottawa, ON) won 7-6 over Mark Kean (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Capital Curling Rideau Open, held November 18 - 20, 2022 at the Rideau Curling Club in Ottawa, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Rajala won 8-5 over J.P. Lachance (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the 2022 Capital Curling Rideau Open in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-1 over Jordan McNamara (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Capital Curling Rideau Open in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada;
 
Rajala finished 2-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rajala defeated McNamara 7-5, then won 7-1 against Jason LaMontagne (Ottawa, ON). Rajala went on to lose 8-5 against Erin Morrissey (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Capital Curling Rideau Open Championship title, Rajala earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 16 of the event schedule, Rajala did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Rajala ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
