Lukas Hostmaelingen (Oslo, NOR) lost 9-7 to Magnus Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR) in the Final of the Norwegian National Championship, held March 9 - 12, 2023 in Lillehammer, . To advance to the championship game, Hostmaelingen won 7-4 over Andreas Harstad (Oppdal, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2023 Norwegian National Championship in Lillehammer, ;

Hostmaelingen finished 6-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hostmaelingen defeated Steffen R. Mellemseter (Oppdal, NOR) 7-6, then won 10-1 against Markus Skogvold (Hedmarken, NOR) and 8-2 against Nicolai Sommervold (Lillehammer, NOR). Hostmaelingen won 7-6 against Mellemseter, then won 7-4 against Alf Christian Fahle (Trondheim, NOR) and 9-1 against Ramsfjell in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Norwegian National Championship, Hostmaelingen take home 19.250 world rankings points. For week 32 of the event schedule, Hostmaelingen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hostmaelingen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
