Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) won 7-4 over Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg , MB) in the Final of the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1, held October 17 - 21, 2023 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Jones won 7-5 over Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Niagara Falls, Ontario; and won 7-4 over Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Niagara Falls, Ontario;
Jones finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones defeated Seungyoun Ha (Chuncheon, KOR) 6-5, then went on to lose 6-4 against Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON). Jones responded with a 6-2 win over Kate Cameron (Winnipeg, MB). Jones went on to lose 7-5 against Hasselborg in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 Championship title, Jones earned 75.000 world rankings points along with the $28,000CDN first prize cheque. Jones move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 39 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 6th overall with 307.563 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Jones ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 127.563 points earned so far this season.
