James Craik (Forfar, SCO) qualified for the 2023 KIOTI National playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI). of the 2023 KIOTI National in Pictou County, Nova Scotia;

Craik finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Craik lost 6-4 to Bruce Mouat (STIRLING, SCO), droppimg another game, 7-6 to Schwaller where Craik responded with a 7-4 win over Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN). Craik won 9-4 against Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

Craik earned 30.000 world rankings points for their Top 6 finish in the KIOTI National. Craik move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 11.813 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 12th overall with 195.750 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
