Kotaro Noguchi (Sendai-shi,Miyagi-ken, JPN) lost 7-6 to Kouki Tonuma (Tokyo, JPN) in the Final of the Morioka City Mens Memorial Cup, held June 3 - 4, 2023 in Morioka, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Noguchi won 5-3 over Masaki Fujimura (Aomori, JPN) in the semifinals

Noguchi finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Noguchi defeated Chikara Segawa (Morioka, JPN) 9-3, then won 6-3 against Tonuma and 4-2 against Satoru Tsukamoto (Yamanakako, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
