Advancing directly to the semifinals, Horgan won 7-1 over Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) to advance to the championship game. of the 2023 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada;
Horgan finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Horgan defeated Zachary Brenden (Bismarck, ND) 8-0, then won 5-4 against Riley Smith (Winnipeg, MB) to advance to the A-Qualifier where they 5-4 against Owen Purcell (Halifax, NS) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the DEKALB Superspiel Championship title, Horgan earned 30.000 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque. Horgan move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of 14.291 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 33rd overall with 119.440 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Horgan ranks 35th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 72.313 points earned so far this season.
