Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) qualified for the 2023 DEKALB Superspiel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-5 against Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB). of the 2023 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada;
Brown finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brown defeated Taylor Reese-Hansen (Victoria, BC) 6-3, then went on to lose 8-6 against Sturmay. Brown responded with a 6-5 win over Corrie Huerlimann (Zug, SUI). Brown went on to lose 9-1 against Xenia Schwaller (Zurich, SUI). Brown responded with a 5-3 win over Michele Jaeggi (Bern, SUI) to advance to the C-Qualifier where they 10-3 against Reese-Hansen to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
Brown earned 13.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the DEKALB Superspiel, remaining in 23rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 1.088 after improving upon their best so far this season. Brown ranks 19th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 114.125 points earned so far this season.
