Wrana/Wrana Runner-Up at 2023 Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup

Isabella Wrana/Rasmus Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE) lost 9-8 to Anna Hasselborg/Oskar Eriksson (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the Final of the Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup, held December 28 - 30, 2023 in Gothenburg, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Wrana/Wrana won 8-2 over Jasmin Lander/Henrik Holtermann (Hvidovre, DEN) in the semifinals of the 2023 Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden; and won 9-4 over Laura Engler/Kevin Wunderlin (Zug, SUI) in the quarterfinals.

Wrana/Wrana finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wrana/Wrana defeated Adela Walczak/Andrzej Augustyniak (Lodz, POL) 7-4, then won 8-3 against Cathy Vivien Vahi/Marten Padama (Tallinn, EST) and 10-4 against Oihane Otaegi/Mikel Unanue (San Sebastian, ESP). Wrana/Wrana won 10-4 against Julie Zelingrova/Vitek Chabicovsky (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Gothenburg Mixed Doubles Cup, Wrana/Wrana take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $3,264CDN prize. For week 23 of the event schedule, Wrana/Wrana did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
