Hyeon Moon (Bongmyeong, KOR) finished 2-6 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Moon defeated JaeBeom Lee (Uiseong, KOR) 6-5, then went on to lose 9-1 against Soo-Hyuk Kim (Gyeongbuk, KOR). Moon lost 11-3 to ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR) where Moon responded with a 11-8 win over Hakjun Kim (Chuncheon, KOR). Moon went on to lose 9-4 against Jongduk Park (Gangwon, KOR). Moon lost 11-2 to Park. Moon lost 7-4 to Jeong. Moon lost 12-4 to Kim in their final qualifying round match.

Moon earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, dropping 384 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 384th place overall with 1.500 total points. Moon ranks 16th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.500 points earned so far this season.
