Gaidule/Buncis won 8-6 against Akvile Rykove/Konstantin Rykov (Vilnius, LTU), then won 7-6 against Santa Blumberga/Andris Bremanis (Riga, LAT). Gaidule/Buncis went on to lose 7-5 against Nilsson/Olofsson. Gaidule/Buncis responded with a 8-1 win over Jurkute/Rymeikis in their final qualifying round match.

Gaidule/Buncis earned 2.250 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the WCT Latvian Mixed Doubles Curling Cup 1. For week 18 of the event schedule, Gaidule/Buncis did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
