Walczak4-2 at World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event 2023

Adela Walczak (Lodz, POL) finished 4-2 in the 26-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walczak lost 8-5 to Astrid Pfluegler (Kitzbuehel, AUT), then responded with a 10-2 win over Madeleine Spurgeon (Kingston, JAM). Walczak won 9-6 against Ying Yang (Beijing, CHN), then won 6-5 against Laura Beever (Hawarden, WAL) and 7-6 against Antonieta Martins Ethier (Lisbon, POR). Walczak went on to lose 12-3 against Kseniya Shevchuk (Megeve, FRA) in their final qualifying round match.

Walczak earned 3.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 806th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of -4.007 after improving upon their best so far this season. Walczak ranks 29th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.000 points earned so far this season.
