CHAMPION: Wrana Wins 2024 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship

Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE) won 8-4 over Marie Kaldvee (Tallinn, EST) in the Final of the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, held April 20 - 27, 2024 in Ostersund, Sweden. Wrana finished 8-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wrana defeated Rebecca Hamilton (McFarland, USA) 6-5, then won 9-3 against Ying Yang (Beijing, CHN) and 8-5 against Jiyoon Kim (Seoul, KOR). Wrana won 7-1 against Courtney Smith (Naseby, NZL), then won 6-2 against Vanessa Tonoli (Zoetermeer, NED) and 6-5 against Kadriana Lott (Winnipeg, CAN). Wrana won 7-6 against Tahli Gill (Brisbane, AUS), then won 7-4 against Zuzana Paulova (Prague, CZE). Wrana went on to lose 8-4 against Sophie Jackson (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship Championship title, Wrana earned 82.500 world rankings points. For week 40 of the event schedule, Wrana did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Wrana ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
