Jackson Reaches 2024 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship Quarters

Sophie Jackson (Stirling, SCO) qualified for the 2024 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-6 against Briar Schwaller (Bern, SUI).

Jackson finished 6-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jackson defeated Zuzana Paulova (Prague, CZE) 7-3, then went on to lose 6-4 against Jiyoon Kim (Seoul, KOR). Jackson responded with a 7-5 win over Tahli Gill (Brisbane, AUS). Jackson went on to lose 8-4 against Rebecca Hamilton (McFarland, USA). Jackson lost 12-5 to Kadriana Lott (Winnipeg, CAN) where Jackson responded with a 7-5 win over Vanessa Tonoli (Zoetermeer, NED). Jackson won 9-3 against Courtney Smith (Naseby, NZL), then won 6-4 against Ying Yang (Beijing, CHN) and 8-4 against Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Jackson earned 33.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. For week 40 of the event schedule, Jackson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jackson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
