Kotoka Segawa (Morioka, JPN) won 9-8 over Miori Nakamura (Aomori, JPN) in the Final of the Tohoku Curling Championships, held December 8 - 10, 2023 in Tohoku, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Segawa won 6-5 over Juri Kojima (Tohoku, JPN) in the semifinals
Segawa finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Segawa defeated Tomomi Noguchi (Tohoku, JPN) 11-4, then won 16-0 against Moe Sakura (Tohoku, JPN) and 12-1 against Rin Suzuki (Aomori, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Tohoku Curling Championships Championship title, Segawa earned 3.750 world rankings points. For week 20 of the event schedule, Segawa did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Segawa ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
