After advancing directly to the championship game, Sylvie Quillian (Moncton, NB) lost 7-4 to Melissa Adams (Fredericton, NB) in the Final of the New Brunswick Scotties, held January 17 - 21, 2024 at the Gage Golf and Curling Club in Oromocto, Canada.
Quillian finished 4-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Quillian defeated Abby Burgess (Oromocto, NB) 6-5, then went on to lose 9-5 against Adams. Quillian responded with a 7-6 win over Carly Smith (Fredericton, NB). Quillian went on to lose 8-3 against Melodie Forsythe (Moncton, NB). Quillian responded with a 5-3 win over Adams. Quillian won 9-3 against Forsythe in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the New Brunswick Scotties, Quillian take home 2.750 world rankings points, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 88th place overall with 28.750 total points. Quillian ranks 88th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 22.125 points earned so far this season.
