Josh Bryden (Regina, SK) finished 4-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bryden defeated Reid Zingel (Victoria, BC) 10-4, then went on to lose 7-6 against Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB). Bryden responded with a 12-5 win over Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB). Bryden won 8-4 against Osten Sahulka (Brandon, MB), then won 10-1 against Sam Nygaard (Lethbridge, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Canada West Curling Championships, Bryden take home 2.750 world rankings points, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 102nd place overall with 28.688 total points. Bryden ranks 90th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 24.688 points earned so far this season.
