Kitazawa finished 5-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kitazawa defeated Riho Zaikan (Okayama, JPN) 12-3, then won 9-3 against Aoi Watanabe (Chubu, JPN). Kitazawa went on to lose 7-6 against Yuna Kotani (Sapporo, JPN). Kitazawa responded with a 5-3 win over Ueno. Kitazawa went on to lose 7-6 against Momoha Tabata (Sapporo, JPN). Kitazawa responded with a 7-4 win over Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Kitazawa won 8-4 against Honoka Sasaki (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
Kitazawa earned 24.750 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the ZEH-NOH Japan Curling Championship.
