Peter Hlushak (Edmonton, AB) finished 4-4 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hlushak lost 8-1 to Terren Algot (Sherwood Park, AB), droppimg another game, 10-4 to Lowell Whittmire (Castor, AB) where Hlushak responded with a 9-4 win over Zach Davies (Edmonton, AB). Hlushak won 9-4 against Kinley Burton (St. Albert, AB). Hlushak went on to lose 8-5 against Timothy Marin (Sherwood Park, AB). Hlushak lost 12-4 to Ben Kiist (Edmonton, AB) where Hlushak responded with a 11-5 win over Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB). Hlushak won 8-5 against Nolan Duncan (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Hlushak earned 0.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 33 of the event schedule, Hlushak did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hlushak ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
