Rajala went on to lose 7-5 against Calan MacIsaac (Truro, NS). Rajala responded with a 8-7 win over Alex Duncan-Wu (Salmon Arm, BC). Rajala went on to lose 9-4 against Kibo Mulima (Guelph, ON). Rajala responded with a 9-3 win over Ian Deschene (Sudbury, NO). Rajala went on to lose 9-2 against Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Rajala earned 1.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 57 spots the World Ranking Standings into 284th place overall with 3.250 total points. Rajala ranks 284th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.250 points earned so far this season.
