Kolomaya finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kolomaya lost 7-6 to Wiebe, then responded with a 5-2 win over Cole Adams (Calgary, AB). Kolomaya won 6-5 against Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB). Kolomaya went on to lose 6-4 against Daymond Bernath (Saskatoon, SK). Kolomaya responded with a 7-4 win over Walter in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kolomaya earned 10.625 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the SGI Canada Best of the West, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 80th place overall with 37.250 total points.
