Drozdov3-2 at 2009 Lucerne Curling Trophy

Andrey Drozdov (Moscow, RUS) finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Drozdov defeated Austria's Harald Fendt 8-2, then went on to lose 7-5 against David Murdoch (Scotland, UK). Drozdov responded with a 7-3 win over Jiri Snitil (Brno, CZE). Drozdov went on to lose 8-2 against Toni Mueller (Baden Regio, SUI). Drozdov responded with a 7-6 win over Patrick Vuille (Glarus, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

The berth into the first round of the Lucerne Curling Trophy playoffs earned Drozdov 2.650 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Drozdov did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Drozdov ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
