Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) lost 7-5 to Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the GP Car and Home Players Championship, held April 12 - 18, 2011 in Grande Prairie, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Homan won 7-5 over Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2011 GP Car and Home Players Championship in Grande Prairie, Alberta; and won 8-5 over Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 GP Car and Home Players Championship in Grande Prairie, Alberta;
Homan finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan lost 7-3 to Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO), then responded with a 8-2 win over Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE). Homan won 7-5 against Stina Viktorsson (Umea, SWE), then won 10-3 against Crystal Webster (Thunder Bay, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the GP Car and Home Players Championship, Homan take home 30.000 world rankings points along with the $16,000CDN prize. Homan move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 26.6 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 12th overall with 165.266 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Homan ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 117.130 points earned so far this season.
