Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) qualified for the 2011 Westcoast Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-1 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB).

Laycock finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Laycock defeated Sean Beighton (Seattle, WA) 7-3, then won 5-3 against Brent Bawel (Calgary, AB). Laycock went on to lose 10-3 against Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB). Laycock lost 7-3 to Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) where Laycock responded with a 5-2 win over Andrew Bilesky (New Westminster , BC). Laycock won 6-5 against Jay Wakefield (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Laycock earned 10.950 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Westcoast Curling Classic, remaining in 11th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 119.785 total points. Laycock ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 27.550 points earned so far this season.
