Martin finished 5-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martin defeated Matt Lang (Saskatoon, SK) 6-2, then won 5-1 against Alexey Tselousov (Moscow, RUS) and 5-4 against Brock Virtue (Calgary, AB). Martin went on to lose 4-3 against Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB). Martin responded with a 7-6 win over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Martin won 6-1 against Brent Bawel (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Point Optical Curling Classic, Martin take home 25.000 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN prize, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 281.040 total points.
