Nimik finished 2-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nimik defeated Kelly MacIntosh (Dartmouth, NS) 6-3, then won 4-3 against Quebec's Julie Hamel. Nimik went on to lose 8-2 against Lisa Farnell (Elgin, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
