Shuster won 6-5 against Kevin Kakela (Rolla, ND) in their final qualifying round match.

Shuster earned 1.750 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Bernick's Miller Lite Open, dropping 2 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 47th place overall with 31.950 total points.
