In their opening game, Fowler lost 7-2 to Randy Woytowich (Saskatoon, SK), droppimg another game, 7-4 to Scott Bitz (Regina, SK) where Fowler responded with a 4-2 win over Brad Heidt (Kerrobert, SK). Fowler won 8-5 against Jason Krupski (Regina, SK). Fowler went on to lose 5-1 against Scott Manners (North Battleford, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
