In their opening game, Paetz lost 8-4 to MacInnes, droppimg another game, 7-6 to EunJung Kim (GyeongBuk, KOR) where Paetz responded with a 4-3 win over Yilun Jiang (Harbin, CHN). Paetz won 7-5 against Teryn Hamilton (Calgary, AB), then won 6-5 against Jessie Kaufman (Spruce Grove, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Paetz earned 5.250 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Red Deer Curling Classic, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 31st place overall with 46.703 total points. Paetz ranks 23rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 22.609 points earned so far this season.
