Neil Dangerfield (Victoria, BC) run at the 2014 Vancouver Island Shootout came to an end in the semifinals with a 4-3 loss to Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC). of the 2014 Vancouver Island Shootout in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada;

Dangerfield finished 4-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dangerfield lost 6-5 to Hayato Matsumura (Karuizawa, JPN), then responded with a 7-5 win over Josh Hozack (Victoria, BC). Dangerfield went on to lose 7-4 against Dean Joanisse (New Westminster, BC). Dangerfield responded with a 6-2 win over Geoff Davis (Victoria, BC). Dangerfield won 6-2 against Stephen Schneider (Vancouver, BC), then won 9-2 against Brent Pierce (Kelowna , BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Dangerfield earned 1.250 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Vancouver Island Shootout, moving up 18 spots the World Ranking Standings into 192nd place overall with 3.750 total points. Dangerfield ranks 100th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.750 points earned so far this season.
