Nicky Kaufman (Edmonton, AB) lost 7-6 to Un-Chi Gim (Gyeonggi-Do, KOR) in the Final of the Crestwood Ladies Fall Classic, held October 24 - 26, 2014 in Edmonton, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Kaufman won 5-3 over Cathy King (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2014 Crestwood Ladies Fall Classic in Edmonton, Alberta; and won 8-5 over Kerry Galusha (Yellowknife, NT) in the quarterfinals.
Kaufman finished 2-3 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kaufman defeated Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) 6-5, then went on to lose 5-4 against Korea's Suji Kim. Kaufman responded with a 9-2 win over Alberta's Katie Morrissey. Kaufman went on to lose 6-3 against Sijia Liu (Harbin, CHN). Kaufman lost 0-0 to Korea's Suji Kim in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Crestwood Ladies Fall Classic, Kaufman take home 2.940 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN prize, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 86th place overall with 8.419 total points. Kaufman ranks 60th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.565 points earned so far this season.
