In their opening game, Forrester defeated Erik Rafnson (Winnipeg, MB) 5-3, then won 7-2 against Austin Mustard (Carberry, MB) and 7-1 against Sean Davidson (Portage la Prairie, MB). Forrester won 9-2 against Chad Sahulka (Winnipegosis, MB), then won 7-6 against Jordan Smith (Winnipeg, MB). Forrester went on to lose 8-2 against Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB). Forrester responded with a 9-3 win over Devon Wiebe (Portage la Prairie, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
