Sweeting finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sweeting defeated Jessie Kaufman (Edmonton, AB) 5-4, then won 10-7 against Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) and 8-3 against Carey in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Jiffy Lube Alberta Scotties, Sweeting take home 21.368 world rankings points, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 4.279 after improving upon their best so far this season. Sweeting ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 340.161 points earned so far this season.
