Curtis McCannell (Pilot Mound, MB) finished 1-2 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCannell defeated Jason Manns (Portage la Prairie, MB) 9-3, then went on to lose 7-4 against Steve Pauls (Clearwater, MB). McCannell lost 9-3 to Randy Neufeld (LaSalle, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

McCannell earned 0.299 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 18 of the event schedule, McCannell did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McCannell ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
