Melissa Adams (Fredericton, NB) lost 7-6 to Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB) in the Final of the New Brunswick Scotties Final 8, held January 27 - 31, 2016 at the Curl Moncton in Moncton, Canada.

Adams finished 3-1 in the 5-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Adams defeated Sarah Mallais (Saint John, NB) 10-3, then won 11-3 against Shelly Graham (Fredericton, NB) and 8-4 against Shannon Tatlock (Moncton, NB). Adams went on to lose 9-8 against Robichaud in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the New Brunswick Scotties Final 8, Adams take home 3.713 world rankings points. For week 24 of the event schedule, Adams did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Adams ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
