Ken Towne (Indianapolis, IN) finished 1-4 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Towne lost 12-2 to Lyle Sieg (Seattle, WA), droppimg another game, 8-6 to Dave Lemke (Medford, WI) where Towne responded with a 10-9 win over Dale Gibbs (St. Paul, MN). Towne went on to lose 11-5 against Kent Beadle (St. Paul, MN). Towne lost 9-1 to Tim Funk (Madison, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
