Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) qualified for the 2016 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-5 against Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE). of the 2016 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Cranbrook, British Columbia;

Jones finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones defeated Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) 5-3, then won 5-4 against Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI). Jones went on to lose 6-5 against Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB). Jones responded with a 9-8 win over Hasselborg in their final qualifying round match.

Jones earned 34.334 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 640.526 total points. Jones ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 214.590 points earned so far this season.
