Homan finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) 7-4, then went on to lose 8-3 against Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB). Homan responded with a 6-4 win over Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB). Homan won 5-3 against Victoria Moiseeva (Kaliningrad, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
