In their opening game, Thevenot lost 7-1 to Veronica Maschmeyer (Edmonton, AB), droppimg another game, 7-4 to Selena Sturmay (Airdrie, AB) where Thevenot responded with a 6-2 win over Brett Day (Red Deer, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
