Purcell went on to lose 7-1 against Layton MacCabe (Moncton, NB). Purcell lost 6-5 to Peter Robichaud (Moncton, NB) where Purcell responded with a 6-1 win over Graeme Weagle (Chester, NS). Purcell went on to lose 6-3 against Adam Tracy (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
