In their opening game, Faguy lost 6-4 to Mark Homan (Montreal, QC), droppimg another game, 8-5 to Alex Berube (Mont Bruno, QC) where Faguy responded with a 9-3 win over Steve Holdaway (Montreal, QC). Faguy won 7-3 against Homan, then won 8-4 against Berube. Faguy went on to lose 5-2 against Frederic Lawton (Baie d'Urfe, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

Faguy earned 1.024 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 375th place overall with 4.103 total points. Faguy ranks 344th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.024 points earned so far this season.
