Stephen Dropkin (Minneapolis, MN) finished 4-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dropkin defeated Andrew Stopera (New York, NY) 5-4, then went on to lose 7-4 against Brandon Corbett (Rochester, NY). Dropkin responded with a 8-6 win over Hunter Clawson (Laurel, MD). Dropkin won 5-4 against Alex Leichter (Boston, MA), then won 8-6 against Corbett in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the USA Men's Challenge Round, Dropkin take home 9.662 world rankings points, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 104th place overall with 52.656 total points. Dropkin ranks 80th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 38.306 points earned so far this season.
