Sieg finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sieg defeated Dale Gibbs (St. Paul, MN) 9-4, then went on to lose 5-4 against Bob Leclair (Tempe, AZ). Sieg responded with a 9-3 win over Doug Cameron (Duluth, MN). Sieg won 6-5 against Jeff Wright (Chicago, IL) in their final qualifying round match.
