Blyde won 12-1 against Arthur Siksik (Iqaluit, NU), then won 6-5 against Quebec's Vincent Roberge and 9-3 against Kaeser. Blyde won 11-3 against Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
Blyde earned 2.718 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
