Wunderlin lost 6-1 to Florian Meister (Zurich, SUI) where Wunderlin responded with a 7-6 win over Kim-Lloyd Sciboz (Lausanne, SUI). Wunderlin won 11-5 against Joachim Porret (Neuchatel, SUI). Wunderlin went on to lose 8-6 against Michael Brunner (Gstaad, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Wunderlin earned 2.297 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 141st place overall with 38.097 total points. Wunderlin ranks 150th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.144 points earned so far this season.
