After advancing directly to the championship game, Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) lost 8-7 to Margaretha Sigfridsson (Skelleftea, SWE) in the Final of the Swedish National Championship, held February 1 - 5, 2017 in Jonkoping, Sweden.

Hasselborg finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg defeated Emma Berg (Stockholm, SWE) 5-2, then won 8-5 against Sigfridsson. Hasselborg went on to lose 8-7 against Cecilia Fransson (Skelleftea, SWE). Hasselborg responded with a 6-3 win over Towe Lundman (Uppsala, SWE). Hasselborg won 7-2 against Tova Sundberg (Ostersund, SWE), then won 9-3 against Therese Westman (Danderyd, SWE) and 8-4 against Rebecka Thunman (Uppsala, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Swedish National Championship, Hasselborg take home 18.340 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Hasselborg did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hasselborg ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
