Joshua Friesen (Morris, MB) lost 7-5 to Brett Walter (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Teulon MJCT Men, held February 10 - 12, 2017 in Teulon, Manitoba. To advance to the championship game, Friesen won 4-3 over Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals

Friesen finished 2-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Friesen lost 1-0 to Carter Watkins (Swan River, MB), then responded with a 8-4 win over Mason Sabourin (Teulon, MB). Friesen went on to lose 6-3 against Walter. Friesen responded with a 6-4 win over Jack Hykaway (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week of the event schedule, Friesen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Friesen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
