Scott Hamilton (Glasgow, SCO) finished 3-6 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hamilton lost 8-3 to Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO), droppimg another game, 9-3 to Kyle Smith (Stirling, SCO). Hamilton lost 8-3 to Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) where Hamilton responded with a 7-2 win over Stuart Taylor (Glasgow, SCO). Hamilton won 10-8 against Chay Telfer (Glasgow, SCO). Hamilton went on to lose 6-3 against Grant Hardie (Dumfries, SCO). Hamilton lost 9-2 to Ross Whyte (Dumfries, SCO). Hamilton lost 6-4 to David Murdoch (Lockerbie, SCO) where Hamilton responded with a 9-0 win over Ally Fraser (Inverness, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Hamilton earned 4.252 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 28 of the event schedule, Hamilton did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hamilton ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
