Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) lost 5-4 to Nina Roth (Blaine, USA) in the Final of the Canad Inns Women's Classic, held October 20 - 23, 2017 at the Portage Curling Club in Portage La Prairie, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg won 6-2 over Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2017 Canad Inns Women's Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada; and won 6-5 over Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals.

Hasselborg finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg defeated Rachel Burtnyk (Winnipeg, MB) 6-3, then won 8-2 against Shannon Birchard (Winnipeg, MB) and 10-1 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON). Hasselborg won 7-3 against Michelle Englot (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Canad Inns Women's Classic, Hasselborg take home 58.399 world rankings points along with the $10,400CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 1st place overall with 649.391 total points. Hasselborg ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 254.442 points earned so far this season.
