Flasch went on to lose 5-3 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN). Flasch responded with a 6-5 win over Jeremy Harty (Calgary, AB). Flasch won 4-3 against Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
