Friesen finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Friesen defeated Jordan Peters (Winnipeg, MB) 5-3, then won 5-2 against Jayden Rutter (Winnipeg, MB). Friesen went on to lose 8-3 against Ryan. Friesen responded with a 6-3 win over Timothy Hodek (Fairdale, ND) in their final qualifying round match.
